When the residents at Bluebell House in Westward Ho! were asked what they really fancied doing one sunny afternoon, they voted overwhelmingly to have a Gin & Tonic in the garden. And that’s exactly what they did!
St Petrocs in Bodmin has just taken delivery of some beautiful troughs of flowers, put together by a very thoughtful relative, to add a splash of colour to the visitor pods. Thank you – these lovely gestures mean so much.
This has got to be one of our favourite days of the year! How wonderful to celebrate the Cream Tea, especially when in Devon. Chollacott House in Tavistock certainly got involved. Delicious!

This week we celebrated Pauline Coverley’s 101st birthday. It was her family’s wishes that we celebrated it this way. They all had a wonderful time. She had a piano cake as when she is bright enough to get out of bed she likes to sit at our piano and tinkle the ivories. Happy 101st! Pauline!
Gardening Club at Chollacott House in Tavistock! Lots of enthusiastic green fingered residents helping to prepare the pots to brighten up our gardens. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Residents at Chollacott House in Tavistock have been making Easter cards this week to send to family and friends. They have all been posted off today in time for Easter.
Mother’s day is such a special day in all our calendars, and perhaps a little harder to celebrate this year as we are so used to big family gatherings in all of our homes. But we did manage a few quiet visits from family, with plenty of colourful spring flowers and delicious cakes.
