Residents of Chollacott House recently embarked on a lovely trip aboard the Wanderer, the care home’s dedicated bus, for a day filled with beautiful scenery and a memorable dining experience. The group set out for a scenic drive, taking in the views along the way, before arriving at The Engine House, a popular local spot known for its welcoming atmosphere and delicious meals.
One resident said, “The whole day was just perfect. The views on the way were beautiful, and the food at The Engine House was excellent. It was a real treat.
The trip, organized as part of Chollacott House’s ongoing efforts to provide enjoyable outings for residents, was a great opportunity for everyone to enjoy time together outside the care home. With more trips planned, the Wanderer will surely continue to be a source of fun and adventure for the Chollacott House community.

The therapy encourages teamwork, helping everyone bond while having a great time together.

The sense of teamwork and connection was palpable as both young and old joined forces, sharing stories and tips while getting their hands dirty. In addition to the show, we’ve had a wide range of activities to keep everyone engaged. Natalie has been leading our residents through fun exercises and games, helping everyone stay active and energized.

Memorable Moments at The Manor – August Highlights

For a more tranquil experience, we also set aside time to relax with some peaceful knitting sessions. Residents came together to enjoy the soothing activity, sharing stories while working on their knitting projects.
It was a month filled with joy, creativity, and relaxation, and we can’t wait for more delightful moments in the coming months!
