Our ten care homes across the southwest vary from large historic buildings, to small seaside villas, to purpose built dementia-friendly properties. All are set in their own grounds. Stonehaven has plans to continue to expand the business.

An opportunity has arisen within our Service Development Department for an individual to join our team in order to assist with a number of important functions supporting our people, care homes and the wider business.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their skills within this role and further their career working pro-actively with the care home managers and Director of HR & Service development. To gain a sound understanding of the company, care homes and wider business the initial responsibilities will include:

Communication – Ability to communicate clearly by phone, email and Microsoft Teams is required. This would include pro-actively communicating with care home managers, care staff,  support office team members, Company Directors and suppliers.
Human Resources – Aid the care home managers and directors with HR issues as they arise. (training and support will be provided)
Recruitment – Posting job vacancies within the company on the company website and through recruitment agencies; co-ordinating applications and discussing recruitment needs with our managers.
Staff Training. Scheduling training for the members of our 10 care homes when required through our existing training providers.
Marketing. Maintaining the company website with good news stories, entering industry awards and arranging local media articles as required.
Care Home Audits – Review the existing care home audits, highlighting required actions and taking ownership (where required) of outstanding issues until they are fully addressed.

The successful candidate would have good basic computer skills, outlook, word, Teams and basic knowledge of excel.

Whilst the above skills are important our main objective is to find a positive, friendly, approachable, organised and reliable person who will bring a can do attitude to the role. A person who is looking to grow their skills base whilst making a positive contribution to the success of the company and, in so doing, ensure that each of our care team members and residents enjoys the best possible experience whilst working or living in any of our residential care homes.

We are a growing company and would fully expect this role to expand beyond the 3 days a week in the future either by the successful candidate or additional recruitment.  An element of home working could be agreed as a part of the role if required.
