Spreading Some Musical Cheer @ Woodhayes

Graeme comes to sing in the lounge on a monthly basis we really enjoy it not just the live music itself but how quickly the cheer spreads through the home. Unfortunately not all residents can make it to the lounge so it was decided for Graeme to visit some resident in their rooms for a sing song too.

Bonfire Night S’mores @ Bluebell House

Our residents enjoyed a classic sweet treat of s’mores in this cold weather. Who doesn’t enjoy toasted marshmallows and chocolate outside?!

A Spot Of Snooker @ Primrose House

We had a game of snooker during men’s group last week! The cue was quite hard to hit the balls with, and so the gents improvised and used their hands instead for most of it. There was also a lot of cheating which made for lots of laughter!

Christmas Time @ The Manor

Christmas snacks and drinks have begun here at The Manor! We’ve even started with the Christmas games! Mo and Sheila had great fun playing a festive game with Jacob, who bravely wore the inflatable reindeer antlers while they tried to toss the hoops over them! Our lovely residents have also enjoyed a lovely festive outing to the garden centre. We wrapped up warm, hopped on our bus, and spent the morning exploring the displays. Here we are soaking up the Christmas magic. So stay tuned for what is to come in December!!!

A Milestone Birthday 100!! @ Dove Tree

So it was a very special Birthday for one of our ladies. Our wonderful Yollie has reached an incredible milestone, her 100th Birthday! Surrounded by friends, family and our caring team, Yollie enjoyed a day filled with laughter, love and plenty of cake. Its an honour to celebrate such a remarkable lady and her century of memories.

Remembrance Sunday Celebrations @ Chollacott House

We have all been busy with preparations for our out remembrance day tribute, many hands make light work. This was a real team effort, you can see the finished work of art taking pride of place in the garden for all to see. Once all the hard work was done we then had an afternoon tea to celebrate remembrance Sunday.

Animal Therapy & Games @ The Lilacs

Recently we’ve taken the residents back to a more playful stage. This has not only meant a visit from ‘Animals2u South West’ where we had a selection of different animals; including 2 Tortoises a Bearded Dragon and a Fat tail Guinea-pig. We have also been getting out the residents competitive side with playing card games, dominoes, snakes and ladders, bingo, making puzzles all of which brought back lots of memories.

Cherished Moments with Family Visits @ Kent House

Residents have been enjoying lovely moments with their families during visits recently and we’ve captured a few of them. It’s wonderful to see smiles, laughter, and cherished memories being made together. These visits continue to bring warmth and joy to everyone’s day.

A very special moment to cherish – 4 Generations together. Welcome to the world Arthur James Nash. The perfect timing on the same day as Mum settles into Kent House.

Remembrance Day @ Cross Park

Our resident’s have put everything into painting giant Poppies for Remembrance Day and sharing some childhood stories. What a wonderful way to honour the lives on this special day.

Puzzles & Pumpkins @ St Petrocs

We’ve all been enjoying a variety of new puzzles and crafting- from matching games, painting ghosts and pumpkins to crosswords and word searches.
Perhaps it’s time to start a competitive puzzling group.
