The Lilacs - Halloween fun

More Halloween Fun at The Lilacs

With no Trick or Treaters this year, the staff  and residents at The Lilacs in Exeter had to make their own fun! Pumpkin carving, apple bobbing, cake decorating, fancy dress, and even a bit of dancing! Sounds like a great evening!!Lilac House - Trick or Treat Lilac House - Halloween cakes Lilac House - biscuit making

The Lilacs - Donations

Thank you, Stoke Hill Infant School!

The Lilacs, our home in Exeter, had a lovely delivery this afternoon from a teacher at Stoke Hill Infant and Nursery School. For the last two weeks the children have been focusing on helping the community, and they chose The Lilacs as the recipient of all their efforts! They have drawn pictures, painted pebbles, made dream catchers and bird feeders. They also raised money and bought staff some gifts. Staff at the home have hung and pinned every item around the home and gardens. All looks amazing! Thank you so much – it means the world!

The Lilacs garden gets a makeover

The Lilacs garden received a makeover last weekend, courtesy of one of the residents family’s church group. The wanted to do something for the community, so they fundraised, came in and tidied the garden and planted some lovely new plants. Click on the link to see them at work:

Stonehaven run in aid of the Exeter Dementia Action Alliance

On Sunday, the ladies of the Stonehaven Support Office took part in the Muddifords Court Cheese Run in aid of the Exeter Dementia Action Alliance. 180 people ran or walked the route from Burlescombe Village, along the beautiful Great Western Canal Path, to Muddifords Court Country House, where they enjoyed a family fun day! Bouncy castles, face painting, live music, cheese toasties and beer. It was a fantastic day, the sun shone and all the money raised went to the Exeter Dementia Action Alliance.
