Beautiful outside spaces

The teams at Bluebell and Primrose House in Westward Ho! have been busy creating lovely outside seating areas for their residents. The patio area between the two homes have been transformed! An enclosed gazebo and a summer house will enable the residents to enjoy the sea air without the sea breeze!

G&T Afternoon!

When the residents at Bluebell House in Westward Ho! were asked what they really fancied doing one sunny afternoon, they voted overwhelmingly to have a Gin & Tonic in the garden. And that’s exactly what they did!

We are delighted that in the midst of a pandemic we can announce some great news – our home Bluebell House in Westward Ho! has been recognised as ‘Good’ by CQC.

VE Day Drive-by at Bluebell House

What a wonderful way to celebrate VE Day at Bluebell House in Westward Ho! All of the staff and residents came out of the home at 2pm, to wave to friends and family who drove slowly past. 75 Years of Wedded Bliss

Betty Coe, resident at Bluebell House in Westward Ho! celebrates 75 years of marriage to husband Peter. Peter will move into Bluebell House for a week over Christmas to celebrate with Betty. Wonderful!

Owl visit to Westward Ho!

The residents at Bluebell House and Primrose House, our homes in Westward Ho! enjoyed a visit from a very lovely owl today. For most it was the first time they had actually held an owl. It was fantastic to see their faces and listen to them talking about her with her owner Nick.

Training the Care Team

At Stonehaven, we take team training extremely seriously, to ensure we are providing the very highest standard of care to our residents. A comprehensive training package is provided for all our staff. We ask that all mandatory courses are completed within the first year of employment with us, with ad hoc and refreshers courses continuning throughout their Stonehaven career.
