Thank you to all the friends, families and neighbours that attended the ‘Families Day’ at Bluebell House. It was a fun filled day with music, dancing, fancy dress a tombola stall, ice- cream a BBQ and of course lots of laughs; even our lovely Deputy Manager got a soaking. One of our residents even created a quiz for everyone to get involved in too.
Lily Holdsworth, who was born in Rotherhithe, London, marked the milestone on 29 November, surrounded by family, friends, and staff at her care home.
The celebration featured a visit from Exmoor Zoo, a birthday cake delivery, and classical music performed by Ashley Barker.
The Deputy Mayor also attended to offer birthday wishes. Staff at the care home described the day as “magical” and noted that her family and friends all think highly of her.

This month at Bluebell House, we introduced an exciting new music therapy program known as Moo Music, and it’s been an absolute hit with residents and staff alike!
Moo Music brings a fresh, fun approach to therapy through musical instruments, interactive songs, and engaging activities like parachute games. From tapping drums to shaking maracas, residents are enjoying the chance to express themselves through music while boosting their physical and mental wellbeing. The therapy encourages teamwork, helping everyone bond while having a great time together.
Music really does have the power to lift spirits, and the positive energy at Bluebell House has been infectious! We’re thrilled to see how Moo Music is keeping everyone active, engaged, and most importantly—smiling.

A Musical treat for the residents at Bluebell House as Bideford Brass Band entertained us by playing festive Carols whilst spreading plenty of Christmas Cheer.
The Great British Care Award Ceremony was attended by Nick, Nathan, Ralphe and Dhimo looking dapper in their suits celebrating the achievements of Dove Tree House, Chollacott House and Kathy Southouse.
