‘Whistle in the Wind’ Theatre Visit @ St Petrocs

We enjoyed a wonderful visit to the local theatre to watch ‘whistle in the wind’. Marjorie and her granddaughter had a lovely afternoon, taking in a show with, of course a nice glass of wine.

Fun in February @Dove Tree House

This month has been a very special one, it’s been packed full of photographs capturing all the smiles, laughter and special moments we’ve shared together throughout February.
From baking coffee cake cupcakes, to celebrations, cosy afternoons and everyday joys, these pictures tell the story of another wonderful month in our home.

Love is in the Air @ Chollacott House

We celebrated Valentine’s with a Valentine’s themed coffee morning, we had a Valentine’s quiz and we held a raffle for the resident’s fund. What better way to celebrate valentine’s day than with a glass of bubbles or two. Everyone had a wonderful time, we had lots of fun with the quiz that tested our brain cells.

Raising A Glass @ The Lilacs

Here we got the chance to celebrate a birthday in the home and raise a glass all together. We had colourful balloons, cake with lit candles, whilst the afternoon light and smiles filled the room. Residents were laughing and chat creating a joyful atmosphere of friendship warmth and shared memories.

Balloon Tennis Time @ Bluebell House

Today we decided to keep things fun. This was an activity that was enjoyed by all and even made other residents laugh. Jane, Jean and Joan were very engaged during balloon tennis and Barry & Linda all had a great game. This particular game is great for keeping active, as well as hand eye co ordination and keeping them all really engaged, even when the balloon is at the other end of the room!

Recent Cherished Moments @ The Manor

This month has been all about cherishing our friends and loved ones and sharing gratitude.

For Pat, this year it marked a special beginning, A move to The Manor, A friendship made true. Meeting Ruth, now a dear friend, Has made this year brighter through and through!

Cecile remembers a year filled with joy, A birthday made special in every way. With schoolchildren singing and smiles all around, A moment she treasures to this day.

Myrtle holds close a precious memory, Her great-granddaughter visiting at Christmas time. For the
year ahead, her wish is simple and true – To have her husband back, missed everyday, always in mind.

Greta knows she made the right decision, Coming here was one of the best things she’s done! Crafts with Anne brings her so much joy, Keeley’s porridge is second to none! And meeting a Lucy has added laughter – They’ve shared many happy moments and fun!

Reminiscing and chatting about Christmas @ Primrose House

A lovely session with the Monday group, reminiscing and chatting about Christmas. We started off playing a game of give me 5 where residents had to name things from a specific category (e.g. things you eat at Christmas). We then spoke about the history of the Christmas tree and all the traditions we have, looking at photos from the 50s and 60s to spark memories and interesting conversation.

Elf Day @ Dove Tree House

We had elf day and all the residents joined in with the staff. There seemed to be a lot of Elf Mischief going on! We’ve also had Paul Steven in with his Christmas special show- Looks like
everyone enjoyed it. It really helped get everyone into the festive spirit!

Christingle Time @ The Manor

We came together to celebrate Christingle. A simple and special reminder of love, connection and kindness at this time of year. It was lovely to share this moment with our residents and families/friends who came along. A big thank you to all the staff team who really came together to help me get each Christingle made in time by hand! A real team effort that made the day even more special! We enjoyed minced pies and singing our hearts out and loving every minute.
