I’m not sure who had more fun our staff hiding the Easter eggs or our residents finding them. It was a lovely sunny day and we had hidden some of the eggs in garden for some variety too, before eating the chocolate in the sunshine. We then enjoyed an Easter quiz and Easter activity booklet containing word searches, dot to dots, spot the difference.

We have been busy planting the pots up for the garden. Who knew we had some many green fingered people amongst us. We were lucky enough to venture outside to plant up the flower beds as well. Everyone is very pleased with their hard work and we can now sit back and watch everything grow.
A few weeks ago we planted some sunflower seeds here at Primrose House and just loo at how well they’re doing already. They’ve been enjoying the sunny window we’ve placed them in front of and it will soon be time for them to go into the garden.

Spreading smiles and little treasures – A little chocolatey magic delivered to every resident this Easter! But we find that the best part of Easter is seeing all the smiles bloom so bright.

The star of the afternoon was our collection of hyacinths, which were carefully repotted into fresh soil. Their bright colours and sweet fragrance brought smiles all around. Residents enjoyed feeling the soil, arranging the bulbs, and chatting about gardens they once tended. Sowing seeds for the season ahead alongside the hyacinths, we planted a variety of seeds—each one a small
promise of the flowers and herbs to come. It was a gentle, calming activity that sparked conversation, memories, and plenty of laughter. Staff and residents worked side by side, creating a lovely sense of teamwork and shared purpose.
This month we had a coffee morning on Good Friday, where we enjoyed a selection of cakes, Easter themed party games and the Easter Bonnet winner was announced. Not forgetting our special guest the Easter Bunny himself.

Today has been a crafting day getting ready for may fair. However both Betty and Steven enjoyed making their own pens key ring and head band, here you can also see Betty showing off her new head band.

It doesn’t matter what your age is everyone enjoys pancakes right?’ Well our residents certainly do; whether its the classic lemon and sugar or banana and maple syrup. It was smiles all round for this tasty treat some of the residents even added squirty cream too.
