Here’s an insight into how ‘Chollacott House’ celebrated their day. Everyone had a lovely time, playing memory games, planting the forget me not seeds and they even held a raffle.
World Alzheimer’s Day is part of a global effort to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease, which effects over 55 million people worldwide.

This month there was so much to celebrate from Bingo, Cake decorating, The Glorious Weather, Birthdays and enjoying a day out in the Mini Bus to Exmouth Beach, it was a very hot day and we enjoyed are ice-creams and the scenery.

Our residents have truly enjoyed the wonderful meals and the chance to get out and about at Westbank the last month. We’ve been making it a special tradition to visit every other week, not only to enjoy the tasty food but also to connect with the local community through quizzes and games. Here is Kay and I at Westbank last week – Roast chicken dinner followed by a quiz and a word search!

With the beautiful sunshine we have had recently it seemed rude to not have a garden party. Thankfully we were blessed with the weather on the day and enjoyed some delicious cake and time together in the garden. We then had a sing along afternoon as we were provided entertainment from a residents family member.

Betty enjoyed her 95th Birthday with her family this weekend. She had a lovely meal and the photos are just fabulous.

Paul stevens gave a great performance of singing to the residents got us up on on the dance floor showing off lots of dance moves, lots of singing and clapping to be heard and happy faces to be seen.
Michael has enjoyed another trip home to visit Wendy and he was delighted to show us his Land Rover.
The Tennis competition started off with a hit! Everyone took part with tremendous effort, there were no boundaries that we couldn’t overcome. Caroline was very competitive and showed us all how it was done. She made it look all far to easy from the comfort of her chair. Everyone deserved a medal, but they were treated to pimms instead.
Geoff’s birthday wish was to have a ride on the local steam train. This was a dream that we made come true for Geoff’s special 70th birthday and he had a fantastic time.
Geoff was then surprised by family and friends back at St Petrocs.
