I just love these fridge magnets made by the talented residents of Dove Tree House in Exeter!
Jaz, manager of Dove Tree House in Exeter had the idea for the residents to make personalised Christmas gifts for their families. They made salt dough Christmas decorations, soap, tea light holders, snow globes and calendars. They also made truffles but ate them, so chef Keith made up a batch for every resident to put in their gift package! The residents are giving their gifts to their loved ones this week and over the festive period.
Stonehaven are really proud to be sponsoring the 2021 Exeter Dementia Action Alliance Calendar. All the artwork is created by award winning Cartoonist Tony Husband, a friend of Stonehaven.ย The calendar is a great way to share the work of the EDAA across the city, raise local awareness about dementia through 2021 and enable them to continue their amazing work on a sustainable basis. Gina Awad, founder of the alliance popped into Dove Tree House last week to deliver some of the calendars hot off the press – they look fantastic!
Lock down and lack of visitors has meant looking at alternative sources of entertainment. The residents and staff at Dove Tree House have been having loads of fun with some good old traditional toys and games. Table Football the absolute favourite – although it’s all getting a bit competitive!
The perfect day to be in the garden at Dove Tree House in Exeter, for VE Day celebrations! Amazing food and drink, some great fancy dress and a beautiful cake. Much fun was had!

Our Care Homes continue to receive such wonderful messages and treats, which really help to keep everybody positive! This lovely hamper full of sweets was delivered to the care team at Dove Tree House in Exeter by a friend of a resident. Thank you so much x
The thoughtful chef at Dove Tree House in Exeter, created a wonderful cake for all the mothers in the home to share, in the absence of sons and daughters this year. Although a few turned up to wave through the window at their mums – some held lovely Mother’s Day banners! Positive stories in challenging times!
Olive, resident of Dove Tree House in Exeter, had a great day celebrating her 103rd Birthday! She didn’t want much fuss but enjoyed a few glasses of sherry ( her favourite tipple!) and wowed on the karaoke with her version of ‘My Way’. Four generations of her family joined her for tea Birthday cake. Happy Birthday Olive!
Children from Discovery Nursery in Exeter visted the residents at Dove Tree House in their Christmas jumpers on Friday, for singing and festive fun. The nursery visits every year at Christmas time, and the residents love it!
