Following recent government announcements and the imminent relaxing of current rules, we will be continuing with our existing visiting policy until we have received clear guidance from Government. Our visitor rooms are available for meetings with loved ones and we are also allowing in-home visits from five nominated people per resident. Of course, all visits will be by appointment only as we cannot let everyone in at the same time, and we need to ensure we have everything in place to LFD test all visitors prior to admission. End of life visits continue to be faciliated. Please contact the homes’ Manager if you wish to visit.
Outdoor visits can now take place away from the care home. Residents staying away from the home for a night in the home of a nominated person, can return to our homes following a negative LFD test, with no isolation required. Those returning from high risk settings, such as hospital or other care homes, will be required to self-isolate on their return. Any visits outside of the home will need to be pre-arranged with the manager and times agreed so that we know when the nominated visitor will be arriving to be tested and when we can expect the resident back.
New admissions to our homes will be considered on a case by case basis, where all infection control protocols can be guaranteed, and a series of negative tests obtained prior to admission. New admissions to our homes will be required to isolate for 14 days if coming to us from a hospital or care setting, with a further test at the end of the isolation period. Admissions from the community will no longer be required to isolate, but will still need to produce a negative test prior to admission, and be regularly tested once with us. We can provide further detail on this prior to admission.
Cases across the country are on the rise, so please continue to be careful. We are very grateful for everybody’s support and understanding throughout this period, let us continue to work together to keep our homes safe.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Home Manager or our Support Office if you have any concerns or wish discuss anything.
Please take care.
