An uplifting afternoon with the Exeter Dementia Action Alliance

As a supporter of the Exeter Dementia Action Alliance, Stonehaven were lucky enough to be invited along to to Stephens Scown Solicitors in Southernay, Exeter for an afternoon of creative networking. We were treated to a play by Brian Daniels 'Don't Leave me Now' about the impact of dementia on two families. The cast of five, delivered an emotional and brutally honest account of living with dementia. After a break of cream tea and fantastic cake, we were introduced to Chris and Jayne, who have appeared on Panorama talking about their own experience of dementia. Chris was diagnosed with vascular dementia and early onset Alzheimer's aged just 50. What an inspiring couple! Tony Husband, the cartoonist, whose own father had dementia, was also there, recording the afternoon's events in cartoon!
