Bird House Making @Woodhayes

We had a lovely time coming together to make a single wooden birdhouse for the garden. Our volunteer Poppy joined in with her usual enthusiasm, and Austin — here on work experience — happily got involved too. It was a simple project that brought everyone together, sparking conversation, teamwork, and plenty of smiles. Marlene had been carefully brightening the miniature birdhouse, using a pencil to sketch in extra details and give it a charming, personal touch. Residents enjoyed watching her bring the design to life with her gentle creativity. Mike proudly showed off the wooden birdhouse we all worked on together. It was a lovely moment seeing Mike holding the finished piece, a reminder of how much joy a simple shared activity can bring.
